Hey it's Tarrmu and welcome to another article of Indie Hour where we talk about the latest independent video games that may have passed you by, and in today's video we're going to be talking about the upcoming game Unbeatable a rhythm, adventure game developed by D-CELL Games.

But Unbeatable is a lot more than that, it has tons of mini-games like a drink making simulator, a baseball mini-game and an art-style that is absolutely incredible and low-key reminds me of the animations of studio Trigger, for you anime fans out there. I love the mood and atmosphere that Unbeatable is going for, especially in a genre that feels kind of neglected these days, with only a handful of games that I could compare it to. But even with the examples I could say like a No Straight Roads, or Hi-Fi Rush, Unbeatable, feels like a completely different type of experience. It's also no slouch as well, it was a fun game to play, but I absolutely did see myself failing a few times, and it was still a ton of fun to hop back in and give it another go. There is something special about this game, and from what I've played the game seems to have a strong narrative focus too, with a good amount of cutscenes focused on the world, and relationships of these characters.

Another feature that I really do love about Unbeatable is that the rhythm game component is accessible outside of the story mode for you to play on repeat and master the various tracks that are available in the story. It is a good way to practice and get good at the core gameplay component, that is this rhythm game, and can I just say the responsiveness and feeling you get from having a long and consistent combo is so satisfying. The music in this game too is absolutely fantastic as well.

    UNBEATABLE on Steam
UNBEATABLE is a rhythm adventure where music is illegal and you do crimes. Follow the story of Beat and her band on the run, in a narrative experience full of big emotions powered by arcade-flawless rhythm gameplay.
