About Me

Tarrmu's Reviews is a website that is built around my love for video games. I Tarrmu (Chris) have a passion for everything gaming, and I want to further articulate and expand upon my ideas expressed through my channel, on this website. The goal of this website is to elaborate and provide more meat to existing videos for those who want more about their favorite games, along with also providing coverage of the latest new games, and Indie gems that you may have missed. There are many ambitions and dreams that I have for both the website and the channel, but most importantly I want to foster and continue to build a community that has been supportive of me and the channel over the years.

Memberships

Access to reviews, retrospectives, and analysis content will always be free and easily accessible. Any further paid memberships will be primarily a means to support both the channel and the website, and the future endeavors and projects that we're wanting to take in future.

Masterpiece
Masterpiece
A defining work of the medium. Among the very best games ever made — the kind you'll be talking about for years.
Must Play
Must Play
A standout that pushes its genre forward. If you only play a handful of games this year, make sure this is one of them.
Great
Great
Polished and well-crafted, delivering confidently on its promise. A few rough edges hold it back from greatness.
Good
Good
A solid, enjoyable experience worth your time if the premise grabs you. Doesn't quite reach the heights of its peers.
Mid
Mid
Serviceable but unremarkable. The fundamentals are there, but stronger options exist in nearly every category.
Poor
Poor
An ambitious idea undermined by frustrating mechanics, technical issues, or a thin gameplay loop that wears thin.
Skip
Skip
A fundamentally broken experience that fails on nearly every level. Save your time and your money.

My Favorite Video Games

Everyone has their own tastes. No one is right or wrong to love the games they do. But I believe the point of a reviewer is to be a personality, someone whose taste you recognise. If a reviewer likes similar things to you, their recommendation matters more. It's like having a friend who loves horror films. If they say a movie is good, you listen. Or, if you love JRPGs and have a friend who feels the same, their opinion carries weight. I want you to know what I like and where my gaming interests come from. Knowing my perspective is important when I make recommendations.
